The school production of Anton Chekhov's tragicomedy Three Sisters was performed on three nights and was a huge success.
Set in a rural backwater in Russia, the Prozorov sisters dream of returning to Moscow where life was charming, stimulating, meaningful. Lonely and bored, can the sisters find a way to make life more bearable? If they can, at what cost?
Tim Lello, Headmaster said, "I was so impressed by all the Senior girls and staff who were involved in the production. It was a stunning new version of the play, superbly directed by Lilla Rebellato, Head of English and Drama, and wonderfully scripted by Dan Rebellato, which brought together the drama, tragedy and comedy (yes, comedy) in a very modern and relevant setting. The Hall was convincingly transformed into a clever impression of an early 20th Century provincial garrison town in Russia. This production demonstrates how well Babington House can do serious drama as well as the famously fun musicals. A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to create such a wonderful and engaging production".
