Over 1,000 individual pupils from 12 local schools took part in the 26th Annual Environmental Awards organised by the Chislehurst Society. The theme this year was Architecture in Chislehurst which inspired a vast array of creativity and exhibits.
There were many wonderful entries from Babington House in the Nursery, Junior and Senior Sections and many prizes won.
Of particular note, Year 7 won 1st prize for their Chislehurst in Silk entry. In the Junior section, Alex Aragona won 2nd prize for his Chislehurst Monopoly Board, Jessica Bill won 2nd prize for her Babington House School model and Charlotte Spencer won 3rd prize for her Architecture of Chislehurst board. In the Senior Section, Kate Archbold and Poppy Clarke won 2nd prize for their joint painting of Architectural Features. Babington House School came 3rd place in the Senior Section overall.
The Awards were hosted this year by Farringtons School and a number of the Babington prize winners were at the Awards ceremony to collect their certificates.
The Joy Jones Trophy for the overall winner of the Junior Section was awarded to St Peter's and St Paul's School and The Alun Jones Trophy for the overall winner of the Senior Section was awarded to Farringtons School.
Congratulations to all Babington pupils that took part and thank you to Mrs Bentine for co-ordinating the Babington entries.
