It was a glorious day for the Babington House Foundation Stage Sports Day.
Children from the Nursery and Reception classes, dressed in T shirts in their House colour and ably assisted by girls from Year 6, participated in a range of sporting activities to demonstrate their skills. They dribbled a football and scored a goal and showed their graduated distrance throwing by aiming a beanbag into hoops. The children worked as part of a team to pass a ball over and under at speed and practiced their co-ordination by placing a tennis balls onto a target in sequence and retrieving them.
For the Reception class there was great inter-house competition in the baton relay race and sprint races. The Nursery pupils showed great skill in the egg and spoon race and determination in their sprint races.
Congratulations to all the children that took part and to Year 6 for supporting them.
