The Nursery celebration was a selection of their favourite songs that they particularly enjoy singing. They wore their favourite festive jumpers and smiles for a jolly medley to bring Christmas cheer.
A traditional Nativity play recreating the Biblical story of the birth of Jesus was performed beautifully by Reception class. The children sang traditional Christmas songs and re-told the story through song and verse.
Years 1 and 2 expertly presented Baubles - A Tree-mendous Nativity. Mr Potts, the School Caretaker, with the assistance of some helpful mice, sets to work to create some beautiful baubles for the bare, forgotten Christmas tree and helped the children to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. With quirky characters such as directionally challenged Kings, a moody donkey and a sheep that sleeps through an angelic visitation, this was a truly wonderful nativity with lively songs and humour.
Staff and children had worked so hard on these performances, thank you to all involved.
Pupils from Years 3 to 13 will present Nine Lessons and Carols at Christchurch on the last Tuesday of term.
We wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
