Year 11 attended a study skills workshop on Wednesday designed specifically to equip the girls with a variety of skills to help them succeed at GCSE level.
Twenty Twenty Learning support the program of study we offer at Babington and enable the girls to approach their GCSE's with their very own independent learning 'toolkit'. They enhance skills needed to carry out effective independent learning; and help the girls to prepare in the best possible way for the GCSE programme ahead.
Twenty Twenty Learning strategy focuses on several key areas, enabling students to:
- explore their own attitudes to study
- learn how to manage their time effectively
- develop and practise a number of memory techniques
- identify the best ways of learning for their individual needs
- develop the essential skills of review
- devise personal learning goals for the immediate future.
On top of this, the girls will also have access to e-mentoring for a 3-month period following the workshop. This gives each student the chance to put what they've learnt into practice – but Twenty Twenty Learning are still there if they need a little extra help.
This day reinforces the learning provided in the Babington Senior School and gives the girls access to revision strategies and personal leaning techniques to support them in the months leading up to their GCSE's.
To further support our students, GCSE Revision Classes are also offered by Babington subject specialists during the Easter Holidays.
