"Our commitment to providing an academic and well-rounded education with small class sizes and an individual approach means we achieve the very best from all our pupils. This has been reflected in the impressive results achieved at GCSE", comments Tim Lello, Headmaster.
100% of pupils achieved A* to C grades in Maths and English. 66% of the grades achieved were A* to B grades. One pupil was delighted to discover her hard work had resulted in 12 A* and A grades, including straight A's in Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Some of our top GCSE pupils are staying on at Babington House to take A Levels in their new Sixth Form starting in September 2014. They will be specialising in a number of areas including some of the more unusual subjects, such as: Law, Business, Politics and Critical Thinking.
Babington has taken the unusual step of putting almost all of the students' free periods into one day each week and using this time to undertake properly structured work experience in a number of professional business sectors. This will enable students' University personal statements to be properly targeted and closely aligned to their professional career paths. Students are also looking forward to lessons beginning at 10am in the morning!
Bibi's mother commented, "Babington House has been a big chapter in my daughter's life as she has been at Babington for 12 years, I am delighted it has ended on a high with excellent GCSE results". Fabienne's mum said, "Fabienne has become a person and not just another pupil since joining Babington". There were smiles and tears of joy with Tate saying, " I am very happy I have done well enough to stay at Babington and looking forward to celebrating".
