The strong sense of community at Babington House School is carried through to the Friends Association. Babington has a strong and hugely supportive PTA. It is run by a voluntary group of parents who meet to organise social events to raise funds for school enhancement projects. The BHSFA is more than just a fundraising body, it provides a social framework and engages children and families in the life of their school, thereby fostering that sense of community.
The BHSFA run four key fundraising events each year - an outdoor cinema night, the Christmas Bazaar, the Babington Ball and the Summer Fair. Also, a yearly Easter egg hunt for the children. None of these events were possible during Covid, so we had to be more imaginative. Our most successful activity of 2020 was The Babington Lockdown Cookbook.
Every parent in the school is automatically a member of the Friends Association and we encourage you to attend meetings and find out what is happening at the school. You are welcome to be a silent observer or an enthusiastic contributor. We are always looking for help with planning and running our events throughout the year. Everyone is welcome!
The BHSFA run a successful School uniform shop and hold regular uniform sales throughout the year. Due to Covid restrictions, we are currently operating an 'order & collect' service. Any uniform requests can be emailed to babingtonuniform@outlook.com
Through our fundraising efforts, the Friends Association have been able to purchase several significant items of note for the school:
Anna Ireland - Chair
Helen Hardingham - Vice Chair
Janine Burford - Treasurer
Carmen Costas - School Shop
Philo Newton - Marketing Coordinator
