A question from my husband about my time at Babington House prompted a search on line, and finding your name. I have so much enjoyed looking at the photos.
I was at Babington House from age four in 1948 until the school moved to Chislehurst in 1959. At that time my parents decided I should move to Blackheath High as they were not happy with the new arrangement. I had taken my GCE 'O' levels that summer aged 15, so it was a pretty critical time for me.
In the 1951 photograph I counted three cousins, two girls and one boy as well as myself!
I am still in regular contact with my dearest friend whom I met at Babington when we were both four years old......a friendship which has lasted for an unbelievable 66 years!
Is there a publication available of the history of the school? I would be very interested to know.
For a number of years after I left the school I received the school magazine, and I was a member of the Old Girls' Association, but it is many years since I have had any communication.
Thank you for making it possible to see these photographs. It has been great fun, and it is amazing how many names I can remember! I believe I have my school photographs in the loft, and will at some point check to see whether I can fill any gaps for you.
