The only pupils I remember were Miss Harrington, Miss Tufnell and Miss Hammond. I remember Miss Berry and a Maths teacher called Miss Boswell who wore pink bloomers which were very often on view! I think my dislike of this subject stemmed from here! I seem to remember a Mrs Gray who was my form teacher and lovely. School meals were dreadful ... butter beans and mince being the most disliked!
I went on to Grammar school in Leicester, so I obviously had a good grounding. I went to Domestic Science College then Roehampton Institute to become a Lecturer in Textiles. I live in the Lake District, married with three children and five grandchildren.
