Kelly Freeman following the Old Babingtonians Reunion
Apologies for the delayed reply. We were away for a long weekend after. I just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely evening on Friday.
I met up with two girlfriends I hadn't seen for nearly thirty five years (!) and through Facebook over the weekend, been in touch with many others. I can't believe that three teachers were there either, two of whom taught me History and Latin, so I was able to tell them about my lifelong love of Roman History and Languages. I was also approached by one of the girls who saw me speak at the school last year and she told me how my speech inspired her to work harder and set a goal for her future. That was so rewarding I can't tell you...
So thank you - you must be so thrilled with the results of the evening. So many people there - all with a lifelong love for the school. It is a very special place, there's no doubt about it.
Now I have two pieces of homework! I have lots of photographs at home which I will get scanned and send you copies. I will also think about the practicalities of work placement - shadowing opportunities etc. also copying in Tim as it occurred to me that, at some point, you might want me to come in and do a session on PR Strategy and Campaigning for the Sixth Form.
Anyway thanks again to you both - Sally - for such an amazing evening and Tim - for maintaining the traditions and the history which make the school so special.
