The House System at Babington House: Building Character and Community
At Babington House, we believe education is about more than academics—it’s about nurturing confident, compassionate young people. That’s why every student becomes part of one of our four Houses: Nightingale, Curie, Cavell, and Fry, each named after an extraordinary woman who changed the world.
- Nightingale – Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing and a pioneer of social reform.
- Curie – Marie Curie, the courageous scientist whose discoveries transformed cancer treatment.
- Cavell – Edith Cavell, remembered for her courage and humanity during the First World War.
- Fry – Elizabeth Fry, a passionate advocate for prison reform and social justice.
Being part of a House is about teamwork, achievement, and character. Students earn House Points by demonstrating our core values—Kindness, Courtesy, Determination, Honesty, and Respect—as well as through academic success and participation in school life.
