I am delighted to announce that our Governing Body has approved a significant programme of summer works at Babington House School. Representing an £800,000 commitment to enhancing our educational environment, these developments mark another important step in our ambition to create exceptional spaces where every pupil can learn, grow and thrive.

At the heart of this programme is the creation of the new Tim Lello Library and Study Centre. Developed over the summer, this inspiring new facility will provide pupils of all ages with a vibrant and purposeful environment for reading, independent study, research and collaboration.

Alongside this, we are pleased to be undertaking a full renovation of our Nursery, Reception and outdoor EYFS areas. These bespoke, state-of-the-art learning spaces are being thoughtfully designed around the needs of our youngest learners, with every detail carefully considered to support early childhood development. The new environments will encourage children to explore, investigate, collaborate and build confidence through play, discovery and high-quality teaching.

I am also delighted to announce that Mrs Hamilton will be joining our EYFS team as Reception Teacher at a particularly exciting time for the department. She brings a wealth of experience both in teaching and as a professional artist and we look forward to the creativity, expertise and enthusiasm she will bring to our youngest learners.

As Babington celebrates its 140th anniversary, we are proud to honour our rich heritage while continuing to invest in the future of our school community. These developments reflect our commitment to providing an innovative, student-centred education and ensuring that our pupils benefit from facilities that inspire ambition, creativity and intellectual curiosity.

As we mark this significant milestone in the school’s history, we look forward to welcoming pupils into these exceptional new spaces and the opportunities they will create for generations to come.

Please explore our digital brochure to learn more and see images that bring these exciting developments to life.

To see these exciting developments first-hand, we invite you to join us at our Whole School Open Morning on Saturday 26th September. I look forward to welcoming you and sharing our vision for the future of Babington as we begin the new academic year.
