We make learning fun
Our Early Years provides pupils with the opportunity to enjoy many additional specialist subjects making learning fun. These opportunities continue and develop as they progress through the school.
PE
Our Nursery and Reception pupils enjoy weekly PE lessons where they have fun, learn new
skills and develop their physical health.
Languages
At Babington, languages are introduced in the Early Years. The children have the
opportunity to develop simple vocabulary in French and Spanish through songs and practical
activities.
Bush Craft
Bush Craft is an opportunity for children to experience forests and the outdoor environment
in a safe and secure way. Bush Craft develops the children’s self-confidence, problem
solving, communication, sharing, collaborative learning and independence.
Woodwork
Children express their imagination and problem solve as they complete challenging and
enjoyable tasks. Children’s physical skills, both gross and fine motor, are developed as they
learn to saw, screw, nail and drill.
