Our Year 7 Taster Days are for Year 6 children looking to apply for Year 7 September 2025 entry and are the perfect way for your child to get a feel for Babington House School and make new friends ahead of returning to sit our Entrance Exam in December.
At our Taster Days children have the opportunity to meet current pupils, the teachers and take part in a whole day of fun lessons and activities ranging from Art, Science, Drama, Sport and Music.
Our next Taster Day is taking place on Tuesday 5th November and will run from 8.30am until 3pm, lunch is provided. We are currently fully booked for this session but have opened a waiting list in the case of cancellation, if you would like to be added to the waiting list please contact our Admissions Registrar: vstanding@babingtonhouse.com

Admission to Babington House Senior School is extremely competitive. With only 36 places available, we encourage you to complete an application form and pay the £100 registration fee as soon as possible.
We are looking for children whose skills and talents extend beyond the curriculum and who will contribute to the rich life of our thriving community. Therefore, offers are not made solely on the strength of the entrance exam alone. We take time to get to know every child during our taster days, exploring their personalities, their talents, their aspirations and school reference. Should we offer a place to a child we have not met, this will be subject to an interview with the Headmaster and Head of Seniors.
Applicants will sit the following examinations:
English (1 hour)
Mathematics (1 hour)
Online Test – Vocabulary, Proof Reading, Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar, Perceptual Speed & Accuracy and Non-verbal reasoning (1 hour)
