We ended our Spring term with our much-loved Houses Day. It was a beautiful sunny day and Babington was filled with bright colours as pupils across the whole School came together as a team wearing tops representing the colour of their Houses – Fry, Nightingale, Cavell and Curie.
There was a fantastic buzz around the school as our students had lots of fun participating in a wide variety of fun activities, embracing our strong sense of community through the House system. Students competed to win points for their Houses in activities such as Rope Pull and Dodge Ball, to name a few.
And, to top it all off, the pupils who earnt the most house points were invited to attend a delicious afternoon tea – now, that really is the icing on the cake!
Huge thanks to our Heads of Houses for making it happen, especially to Mr Janes who kept excellent track of the house points throughout the event.
And on that note…. the winning House is (drum roll please!)… Curie! Huge congratulations.
Curie stormed into the lead with a massive 1,308 points! Cavell took second place with 1,283 points and it was close for third and forth place but Fry just pipped to the post with 1,219 points securing third place, leaving Nightingale in forth place with 1,212 points.
Well done to everyone that took part. Our Houses are such an important tradition of Babington, it was fantastic to see such passion and great team work from our students as they came together across all years at this fantastic event.
