Key Stage 2 includes pupils from Year 3 – 6 and provides the final stage in their primary (or at Babington, Preparatory) education.
The Preparatory years provide the foundation for a successful senior school education, to this end pupils in Key Stage 2 experience the benefit of specialist subject teaching. We set a brisk academic pace and pursue a challenging curriculum. The pupils are taught Maths and English by their Class Teachers and gradually some specialist subject teachers are introduced in Languages, PE, Music and Art.
The use of specialist teachers alongside our highly qualified Class Teachers enables each pupil to be pushed to exceed their academic potential as well as ensuring that all pupils receive the care and individual attention associated with small class sizes.
A significant percentage of pupils receive academic scholarships for entry to Senior School.
