Serious about sport

We are passionate about sport at Babington House School and compete with remarkable success at the highest levels. We also realise that, for many pupils, sport can be an escape from the classroom environment and provides an opportunity to socialise and build important life skills such as leadership, resilience, problem-solving, only to name a few.  We are fortunate to have some extensive playing fields on Elmstead Lane, a very short walk from the school. Our facilities also boast a wonderful sports hall, a climbing wall and an abseiling wall.

We have competitive squads in Netball, Football, Basketball, Athletics, Cross Country, Rounders, Kwik Cricket and Swimming (at the nearby Eric Liddell pool).  We also enjoy Tag-Rugby Fencing, Rock Climbing, Trampolining, and Tennis.

A number of pupils compete at the very highest levels in their chosen sport, at both regional and national level.

Every child at Babington House enjoys a rich program of Physical Education throughout each Key Stage of learning in order to have fun, learn new skills and promote well-being. We end each our sporting year with our Sports Day, a much-loved event amongst our pupils, families and teachers!
